Over the past 2 weeks, 16 boys and girls have been practicing their cricket skills all in aid of representing Calamvale State Special School at the Special Schools Indoor Cricket Carnival held at Ipswich on Thursday 23^rd March 2006.  From the moment the students arrived at school they were excited, enthusiastic and looking forward to playing cricket.  Both the intermediate and senior teams were up against tough schools and were very competitive in each game.  Both teams showed great improvement during the course of the day.  On the day all students gave 100%, as sixes were being hit, runs outs occurring and some spectacular catches were being taken.  The intermediate team finished 3^rd, whilst the senior team finished 2^nd.  It was a great day had by all.  A special mention must go to the teachers who assisted on the day, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and efficiently.

All the students who represented Calamvale Special School in indoor cricket must be congratulated on their sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
