Background:
I commenced my employment with
Education Queensland in the late nineties as a
casual teacher aide. As my children became school
aged I obtained permanent part-time work as a
teacher aide and graduated to working partially as a
teacher aide as well as an admin officer.
In 2000 I transferred across
permanently into the admin officer position at Inala
Special School and was given opportunities there to
act in the Registrar role and also had a period as
Acting Registrar at Sunnybank Special School, which
led to me being offered the role of Acting Registrar
at Calamvale Special School in 2006.
In 2007 I applied for and
obtained the permanent position of Business Services
Manager here.
